Half Marathon - Participant Guidance
The half marathon is a physically demanding event and requires a reasonable level of fitness and preparation. We strongly encourage all participants to consider their current fitness, training, and health status before entering. If you have any medical conditions or concerns, please seek advice from a health professional prior to race day.
For safety and event management purposes, the half marathon operates with a cut-off pace. Participants who reach the halfway point (10.55 km) in a time greater than 90 minutes will be asked to consider their ability to safely complete the remainder of the course.
Runners who continue beyond this point may do so at their own discretion; however, please note that:
-
Course support (including marshals, aid stations, and traffic management) may be reduced or withdrawn, and
-
Finish-line timing and finisher medals cannot be guaranteed.
These measures are in place to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers, and the wider community. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Cup-free event
We've made our event cup free. This is awesome! If you are not convinced, it's COVID-safe, good for the environment and our volunteers don't have to pick up your rubbish. You must bring your own drinking vessel. We will help you refill it at the on-course water stations.
Our awesome team of volunteers will try and make your day really special.
