Mt Barker
CONQUER
THE SUMMIT
Register here for Conquer The Summit 2023, to be held on Sunday 26 March 2023.
Conquer the Summit is a fun run event held annually in Mt Barker, in the Adelaide Hills, to raise money for Operation Flinders and other local charities.
The event is a major fundraiser of Mt Barker Lions and Rotary Clubs.
It is run through the Laratinga Wetlands and surrounding rural areas.
Laratinga (Lartingga-parri) Wetland was named after the traditional Peramangk people's meaning for Mount Barker Creek, “Flooding Land Creek”.
Originally a small community event, the race is now enjoyed by runners and walkers, both serious and social, from across Adelaide.
After leaving the wetlands, competitors follow a combination of roadside, firetrack, vineyard and single-track all the way to the top of Mt Barker Summit.
With 5km, 10km and 20km options, you can now choose whether to finish your journey at the top of the mountain, or turn around and run back to the start.
