Conquer the Summit walk

The annual Conquer The Summit FUN RUN is the premier fundraising event of the Lions Club of Mount Barker and the Rotary Club of Mount Barker. It is generously supported by the District Council of Mount Barker. The event has been run every April since 2012 to benefit Operation Flinders and Adelaide Hills charities. The last event was held on April 9, 2017, and the next one will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018.

The course runs for 11km one-way from Mount Barker township (Keith Stephenson Park) to Mount Barker Summit, passing through the award-winning Laratinga Wetlands and the picturesque farmlands of Mt Barker Springs. Total vertical climb: approximately 150 metres. Return to township via free shuttle bus – click here for a map and further details.

You can register as either a Team or an Individual. Prizes are offered for each category of entry.

Suggestion: You might also like to take the opportunity to obtain sponsorship for Operation Flinders.

Operation Flinders Foundation is a South Australian based charitable organisation that runs a world leading wilderness adventure program for young people at risk. The program takes participants between the age of 14 and 18 years on an eight day exercise in the far northern Flinders Ranges, providing an opportunity for its participants to break away from their past and grow as valued members of the community. All funds raised by Conquer The Summit for Operation Flinders will be used exclusively to sponsor participants from the Adelaide Hills region.
